The Scout Club SF Mission

Scout Club SF is the definitive vision of what a sympathetically modernized International Harvester Scout should be. Our philosophy balances uncompromising craftsmanship with a refined, period-correct aesthetic that respects the utility of the original IH heritage. Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, our team is comprised of designers, engineers, and technicians who are hands-on with every system, treating every vintage 4×4 restoration as a functional work of art.

We are a house of Scout connoisseurs with decades of collective experience in classic 4×4 engineering. Our mission is to expand the capabilities of the platform while refining the core product—ensuring that every vehicle leaving our shop is better, more reliable, and more capable than the day it left the factory.

Engineering for the Modern Journey

Every full build by Scout Club SF is a total re-imagining of the vehicle’s systems. From California smog-legal engine swaps to bespoke heritage steel panel restoration, our builds are engineered for longevity, age gracefully, and offer simplicity in service. We focus on the entire ownership experience, from the initial intake to years of adventure after delivery.

Engineering for the Modern Journey

A Scout belongs on the road. We build our vehicles to be driven daily—whether navigating the steep grades of San Francisco or exploring the rugged coastlines of Northern California. To support this, we offer a curated catalog of restored parts and lifestyle goods designed to make the outdoor experience more connected and enjoyable. At our core, we are driven by a love for the journey and a commitment to maintaining the soul and integrity of the International Harvester legacy.
